This new old stock (nos) VW Karmann Ghia tow hook was made in Germany by Perohaus.
It is very usefull in caes of a breakdown and fits on Karmann Ghia 1200 and 1500. The box is marked in German with "Perohaus Abschlepphaken Karmann Ghia 1200 u. 1500 und VW (hinten)".
