I visited the OCTO VW Bus Show on Saturday the 11th June 2016 in Long Beach California.
The O.C.T.O VW Club has every year a nice VW Bus Show at “The Classic Weekend” for 1967 and earlier Volkswagen buses.
The VW meeting was at the Veterans Memorial Stadium, 5000 East Lew Davis Street, Long Beach, California 90808, USA where I arrived at 5:45 a.m..
It was cold, cloudy and raining in Southern California, just like in Germany and at 6:00 a.m. they opened the entrance gate for the air-cooled VWs.
I climbed the Veterans Memorial Stadium at about 11:00 a.m. to take some aerial view pictures. At about 12:30 p.m. most visitors left the show ground.
I can recommend this event if you want see all variants of the rare T1 Split Bus and hear great VW stories.
