I was on the VW meeting IKW Wanroij 2013. The International Kever Weekend IKW Wanroij is also known as Int. Beetle Weekend IBW Budel. The Kever Club Nederland organized the classic Volkswagen meeting. The location changed from beautiful Budel to Wanroij in Nederland.

The IKW 2013 was on 14, 15 and 16 June 2013. I was there on Saturday the 15th June. I started with my 1959 VW Beetle early in the morning in Germany and had a nice day at the Beetle Weekend.

Between 7:30 to 11:00 I had a look at the camping site and walked around the lake counterclockwise. The camping site is huge and I saw hundreds of VW Camper and aircooled Volkswagen. The cars for the “Vintage & Custom Show”, the “Sprint / Drag Race” and “Show & Shine” can be found at the camping site in a more natural environment, because the VW owners stay there like all other Volkswagen enthusiasts.

Between 11:20 to 11:35 is was raining very strong. After the rain it was sunny and the light was great to take photos, so I checked out the Vintage & Vintage Custom Show area to see classic VW Show cars in “wet look”.

After lunch at around 13:30 the air-cooled parking was well filled. The IKW Team from Kever Club Nederland sorted the incoming VWs by Type. There is an parking place for VW Beetles only, for Bus and for Karmann Ghia, Type 3 and other air-cooled VWs. The IKW Team even takes care as parked because they know we want to see nice air-cooled Volkswagen lines. Thanks!

From 14:00 to 15:00 I had a look at the sprint races and at around 16:00 I checked out the Buggy Pit. After that, I had a quick look at the VW parts market.

About at 17:00 the Road Trip formation started and with the road trip, most day visitors drove home. I left the meeting at around 18:00.
