I visited the 29th Bug Jam VW Festival 2015 at Santa Pod Raceway United Kingdom.
I got up on Saturday July 18 at 5:00 a.m. in Bremen Germany, had a Ryanair flight and then 75 miles with a rental car from London Stansted to Santa Pod Raceway, where I arrived at about 10:00 a.m..
After 70 GBP entrance, I parked my car, put sunscreen in my face and walked around Bug Jam. It is very big and different car brands are parking next to each other, but fortunately, most are Volkswagen.
Saturday was the Rust & Rat show with lowered VW Beetle, Bus, Type 3 and e.g. a Tractor with VW engine. On the race track was all day something going on and I saw the Jet car, which was very loud and I felt a pressure wave in the stands. The sunset was great and the evening entertainment superb.
It was raining Sunday morning till about 7:00 a.m. and for the Show & Shine, the VW fans had much to polish and brush. My favorite VW was the 1958 VW Beetle from Peter Harvey in original condition.
I left the VW Festival at 14:00 p.m. with many others.
