I visited the European Bug-In #6 VW Show in Chimay Belgium from 27th to 28th June 2015. I was the first at the EBI and it was great.
My 59 VW Beetle made the 1200 km trip very well. I started in Germany on Friday the 26th June and arrived at Brussels Atomium at lunch time. On the day I vised a few tourist places in Brussels with my Beetle.
The next day I was at 8:30 at the European Bug-In. It was cloudy and most VW enthusiasts were still sleeping in a tent or VW Camper Van. Fortunately, at 9:30 the sun came through. From about 9:30 to 11.30 the trailer queens and long sleepers arrived at the Show and Shine area. The VWs got polished and pampered and more visitors arrived. Drag racing took place all over the day.
On Sunday was a Hebmüller shooting at the Chimay Race Track between 9:00 to 10:00. I visited the BUG-IN OFFROAD and as the day before, the Show & Shine area filled up. At about 10:45 was a Cal looker meeting at the Burnout area. Also Miss European Bugin 2015, Mrs Debbie Adams, was there and did a superb job.
At about 12:00 I filled up my Beetle at the fuel station in Chimay and drove back to Germany, which took about 7 hours, because of a traffic jam.
