Illuminated German D sign badge

Vintage lighted German D badge in good condition. The illuminated Deutschland sign is in used condition, without dents, the white color is bad, the chrome is good and it is complete. At the rear side are two special flat original, but rusty, nuts. After the rear side is off, all parts can be removed. The part which is attached at the chrome “D” is made of plastic and in good condition. This part is important for the illumination. The badge can be mounted as is on a Patina VW Beetle or you can do a restoration easy and possible. The last pictures shows the d-sign like this mounted at my 1959 VW Beetle. Because the chrome was not good at my badge, I sandblasted it and painted the big part white and the “D” black. It looks better and correct if the outer line is painted black. Very rare and much nicer than the SWF D-badge. The size is 12 x 18 cm. This is the correct size for small vintage cars like VW Beetle, Oval, Split, T1 T2 Samba Bus, Type 3, Karmann Ghia and Porsche.
