Rare GHE lucky charm dash badge.
GHE Happich lucky charm plaque in new ol stock (nos) condition. The dashboard badge with Horseshoe lucky charm symbol is in very good condition. The badge is stamped with "Fahre fern mit Glück / kehre heil zurück" (= Travel far with luck / return safe and sound)”. About 4 x 5 cm. Made in Germany.
Since driving was significantly more dangerous and unreliable in its early days than it is today, the plaques served as good-luck charms and religious symbols of protection for an accident-free journey.
